Committees and Teams are the glue that hold together an association. We are only as good as our members. As we have continued to grow, we are asking for your support, help and expertise! MEMBERSHIP TEAM
This team works on Recruiting and Retaining Members by creating opportunities for new and existing members. Extroverts love this team. Recruiting consists of gaining new contact information from fellow associates, lead generators and other links and approaching that potential member to discuss the return on their investment of becoming a member of the MMCA. Recruiting takes a little effort, but the rewards are big. Earn SPIKE points for every member recruited; and help the association continue to grow and flourish.
Retention Programs include the Ambassador Program; as well as outreach to members who may be on the fence about their time with the association; or they may not have had a full introduction to the benefits and just need a quick “hello” from one of these team members. Retention also calls on existing members to invite them to an event or just to check in from time to time. It really is for the person who loves to network and provide support to another. This team is key to maintaining our members.
AMBASSADORS
The vision is to create a team of existing members who understand the return on investment of joining the MMCA and can support a new member in discovering those benefits. Ambassador guidelines can be found by clicking this link: AMBASSADOR APPLICATION.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS TEAM
If you love politics and building community, this team is for you. Think Local, State, and National legislative and government challenges and rewards. City councilors, OSHA, planning commissions, and economic development groups to the President of the United States – and all in the middle are our targets. Issues that affect business, homeownership, construction and trades, workforce development, regulation and code requirements, permitting and inspections are all things we may tackle. Participating in the BAM Builder Day at the Capitol and other events will be asked of these teams. Have your voice heard. Be part of the change needed to keep you – and our members – working and thriving. Teams are meeting in conjunction with BAM’s Government Relations Committee. Call to be added to the list.
EVENTS AND MARKETING
Love networking and throwing the party? Getting to know others by making sure everyone in the room is welcome and fed? Laughter and humor are necessary for participating in this team. We will be focusing on monthly events for networking, fundraisers including a Golf Classic and Clay Shoot, and annual membership fun. You can participate in one or all of the event planning activities. It takes a team and we need you. Sign up for an hour to help with registration or participate by hosting an event. We have plenty to do – just step up to the plate!
Additionally, if you have a passion for marketing, we have lots of need for help in this area! Social media and website updates; newsletters, blogging, podcasts, and more are on the horizon or underway. With a small “staff” and a handful of help, we can always use more.
